Andrew Bailey Strikes Out Eight In Loss to Beloit

Andrew Bailey had a mixed start in Kane County’s 7-6 loss to Beloit.  He did give up four runs in six innings without getting a decision but he did strikeout eight batters.  TJ Franco, Jr. game up three runs in the seventh inning and he took the loss.

Haas Pratt was the hitting star in the loss.  He went two for four with a homerun and three RBIs.

Cougars Split Double Header With Cedar Rapids

There wasn’t much offense in either game, but the Cougars finished with a split in their doubleheader with Cedar Rapids. The first game was a 3-1 loss and Jermaine Mitchell drove in the lone run.  Andrew Bailey took the loss despite striking out ten in 5 1/3 innings. He gave up three runs on six hits.

In the second game, James Heuser struck out nine in six shutout innings to pick up the win.  Christian Vitters went two for three with a double and an RBI.

Andrew Bailey Strikes Out Eleven In Cougars Loss

Once again, the Cougars found a way to lose despite a great start by Andrew Bailey.  He gave up one run on three hits and two walks with eleven strikeouts in six innings.

The offense was held to just three hits in the 1-0 shutout loss.  Jermaine Mitchell doubled and he was the only Cougar with an extra base hit.

Andrew Bailey, TJ Franco, Jr. Pitches Cougars To Win Over Wisconsin

It was a team effort on the mound, but the end result was a 3-1 Cougars win.  Andrew Bailey struck out six in 4 2/3 shutout innings in his start, but it was TJ Franco, Jr. who picked up the win with 3 1/3 innings of relief.  He gave up one unearned run on three hits and he struck out three.

Hass Prat was the hitting star. He went two for four and he drove in two runs.
