Benjamin Fritz was hit hard and he fell to 8-6 in the Rockhounds 14-3 loss to San Antonio. He gave up eight runs on ten hits and two walks with three strikeouts in just 3 2/3 innings.
Javier Herrera was the hitting star in the loss. He went three for five with a double and a run.

Landon Powell was the hitting star. He went two for four with a homerun, two RBIs and two runs.
Benjamin Fritz improved to 6-1 on the season with another start in the Rockhounds 4-2 win over Wichita. He gave up two runs on six hits and two walks with five strikeouts in 6 2/3 innings.
Richie Robnett hit a two run homer in the win. Gregorio Petit went two for four with a double, a walk and two runs.
Vasili Spanos had three hits and he drove in three runs in the Rockhounds 7-5 win over Tulsa. Brant Colamarino also had a nice day at the plate and he went three for five with two doubles, two RBIs and two runs.
Benjamin Fritz picked up the win and he improved to 5-1 on the season. He gave up three runs on seven hits and one walk with four strikeouts in six innings of work.
Benjamin Fritz was about as good as you can ask on the mound for the Rockhounds. He gave up five hits and three walks with three strikeouts in six shutout innings. Unfortunately, the hitters finally scored but not until after he left the game so the win went to Brad Ziegler, who threw two perfect innings of relief.
The Rockhounds got both of their runs in the 2-0 win on one swing of the bat. Gregorio Petit went yard with a two run shot in the eighth to win it.
Midland scored just one run in their 3-1 loss to San Antonio. The lone run was scored by Eduardo Cornejo in the sixth inning.

The Rock Hounds had plenty of hitting start in their 15-1 win over Arkansas. The big hitter though was Richie Robnett. He went three for four and he came a single short of hitting for the cycle. He drove in five and scored three times in the win.
Lost in all the offense was a great start by Benjamin Fritz. He gave up just a single run on two hits and a walk with six strikeouts in the win.
The Rockhounds outlasted Arkansas in a 7-6, twelve inning win. Jeffrey Baisley had a huge game. He went three for four with two homeruns, two walks, three RBIs and two runs. Danny Putnam also helped out with two doubles and four RBIs.
Benjamin Fritz was roughed up in his start while Brad Ziegler picked up the win with a no hit twelth inning.
