Bradley Davis had a tough start and he dropped to 2-2 on the season. He gave up four run on six hits with five strikeouts in five innings of work.
Luke Appert was the hitting star in the loss. He doubled and he drove in two runs in the 7-4 loss.
The Ports doubled up Inland Empire 10-5 and Cliff Pennington crossed the plate more times as anyone. He went two for four with two walks and he scored four runs. Tommy Everidge also had a great day at the plate and he went four for four with three RBIs and a run.

Jose Pineda hit a two run homer and Raul Padron finished with two hits, two runs and an RBI. Cliff Pennington also had a nice game with three hits and a run.
The Ports blew two run lead in the late innings, had to score a run in the tenth to keep the game going, yet still lost it in the thirteenth 8-7 to San Jose. Tommy Everidge led the way at the plate for the Ports. He went three for five with a triple, a homerun, two RBIs and three runs.
Starter Michael Madsen struck out six in five innings but he gave up four runs in a no decision. Bradley Davis took the loss. He gave up the run in the tenth and then the run in the thirteenth in his four innings of relief.
