Benjamin Fritz Throws Six Shutout Innings in Rockhounds Win

by @ 11:03 pm. Filed under Benjamin Fritz, Brad Ziegler, Gregorio Petit

Benjamin Fritz was about as good as you can ask on the mound for the Rockhounds.  He gave up five hits and three walks with three strikeouts in six shutout innings.  Unfortunately, the hitters finally scored but not until after he left the game so the win went to Brad Ziegler, who threw two perfect innings of relief.

The Rockhounds got both of their runs in the 2-0 win on one swing of the bat.  Gregorio Petit went yard with a two run shot in the eighth to win it.
