River Cats Blow Out Richmond In Bricktown Showdown

Lou Merloni and Brant Colamarino combined to drive in all seven runs for the River Cats as they dispatched the PCL champion Richmond Braves to win the Bricktown Showdown.  Merloni went two for five with a homerun and four RBIs while Colamarino went three for five with a homerun and three RBIs.

Shane Komine didn’t finish the second inning and he came out after an injury and Kazuhito Tadano took over from there to pick up the win.  He gave up one run on three hits with four strikeouts in 4 1/3 innings.

Kazuhito Tadano Is Shelled In River Cats Loss

Kaz Tadano dropped to 2-1 on the season with a rough start in  the River Cats 9-6 loss to Round Rock.  He gave up seven runs on eight hits and four walks with five strikeouts in 4 1/3 innings.

Jeremy Brown doubled and he drove in two runs in the loss.  Dee Brown singled and he scored twice.

Jason Perry’s Slam Pushes River Cats To Win Over Sky Sox

Jason Perry hit a huge first inning grand slam to push the River Cats to an 8-1 win over the Sky Sox.  Daric Barton had a great day at the plate.  He went four for five with a double, a run and an RBI.

Lost in all the offense was a nice start by Kazuhito Tadano.  He gave up five hits and a walk with seven strikeouts in six shutout innings.  He’s now thrown 12 2/3 shutout innings since getting promoted to Sacramento and he’s struck out 14.

Kazuhito Tadano Shines In First Triple A Start This Season

It’s the third time Kaz Tadano had a stint in Triple A and he shined in his first start for the River Cats this year.  He gave up four hits and two walks with seven strikeouts in 6 2/3 shutout innings.

J.J. Furmaniak was the hitting star in the 3-0 win. He went two for four with a homerun and two runs scored.

Seven Run Seventh Inning Pushes Rockhounds To Win Over Frisco

The Rockhounds scored most of their runs in the seventh inning when they scored seven to top Frisco 9-8.  Brian Snyder was the hitting star and he went two for four with two doubles, two RBIs and two runs. 

Kazuhito Tadano was hit hard in his start but the hitters picked him up.  He did strikeout out eight in six innings but he also gave up six runs.

Kazuhito Tadano Strikes Out Seven In RockHounds Win

Kazuhito Tadano struck out seven batters in 6 1/3 shutout innings in the RockHounds 1-0 win.  He now has 26 strikeouts in 23 1/3 innings in what’s turning out to be a nice start to his season.

Jason Perry drove in the only run of the game for either side.  Vince Faison walked twice and he scored the only run.

Rockhounds Lose Shoot Out to San Antonio

There wasn’t much solid pitching in the Rockhounds 9-8 loss to San Antonio.  Kazuhito Tadano gave up five runs in six innings and Jeffrey Coleman gave up four runs in just 2/3 of an inning.

Danny Putnam had a monster game at the plate.  He went two for four with a double, a homerun and five RBIs.  Richie Robnett homered and he scored two runs.

Kazuhito Tadano Throws Six Shutout Innings in Midland Win

Kazuhito Tadano had a very nice start and he picked up the win in Midland’s 2-0 win.  He gave up four hits and he struck out eight in six innings of work.

Myron Leslie was the hitting star. He went two for three with a double, a walk and a run.
