Just about everyone was a hitting star in the River Cats 10-3 win over Fresno but Kevin Melillo had an exceptionally good day at the plate. He went two for four with a homerun and three RBIs. Daric Barton also had a great game and he went two for three with a homerun, two RBIs and two runs.
Dan Meyer improved to 5-1 with the win. He gave up three runs on nine hits and three walks with two strikeouts in 5 2/3 innings.
Kevin Melillo hit a walk off two run homer in the bottom of the twelth inning in the River Cats 6-5 win over Round Rock. Melillo had a nice overall day at the plate and he went three for six with a double, the homerun, two RBIs and two runs. Jason Perry helped out with a two run homer in the sixth inning.
Jeffrey Gray picked up the win. He got the final two batters out in the twelth inning and he improved to 1-3 on the season.
Shane Komine had a nice start go to waste in the River Cats 3-2 loss to Round Rock. He gave up two runs on four hits and three walks with eight strikeouts, but because of the lack of offense, he dropped to 2-7 on the season.
Kevin Melillo went two for three with a walk. Nicholas Blasi went two for three with a run.
Jason Perry singled home Dee Brown in the eighth inning to tie the game and then Nick Blasi scored on Kevin Mellilo’s RBI single in the ninth to win it 5-4. Jeremy Brown finished the game one for one with a double, two RBIs and two walks.
Santiago Casilla got just one batter one but it was the final batter so he picked up the win. His record improved to 2-1.
Shane Komine improved to 2-5 on the season with a nice start in the River Cats 3-1 win over Salt Lake. He gave up one run on six hits and a walk with nine strikeouts in seven innings of work.
Kevin Melillo hit a solo homerun in the win. It was his sixth homerun of the season.
Jason Windsor had a tough start in the River Cats 7-2 loss to Salt Lake. He gave up seven runs on ten hits and three walks with three strikeouts in six innings.
Daric Barton went two for four with a solo homerun in the loss. Kevin Melillo went two for four with a double and a solo homerun.
The River Cats scored three late runs to come behind in their 5-4 win over Colorado Springs. Kevin Melillo had another big game and he went two for four with a double, a homerun and three RBIs. He’s now driven in 28 and scored 30 in just 38 games. Jason Perry also went yard and he hit a two run homer.
Brad Knox was touched up for four runs in five innings but the pen and hitters picked him up. Shawn Kohn picked up the win with three shutout innings of relief pitching.
Shane Komine was hit hard and he dropped to 1-4 on the season with a tough start against the Cubs. He gave up seven runs on seven hits and three walks with two strikeouts in three innings. Shawn Kohn was also hit hard and he gave up six runs in just two innings.

Kevin Melillo had a huge day at the plate in the River Cats 10-0 win over Salt Lake. He went three for five with a double, a homerun, four RBIs and three runs. Daric Barton drove in three runs and Charles Thomas went two for four with a double and two runs.
Colby Lewis improved to 2-1 with seven shutout innings. He gave up just three hits and a walk with six strikeouts.

Shane Komine was hit hard in his start and he took the loss. He gave up six runs on six hits and two walks with three strikeouts in 6 1/3 innings.
The River Cats needed ten innings but they topped Las Vegas 4-3. Colby Lewis had a really nice start and he gave up three runs on three hits and a walk with twelve strikeouts in six innings. Connor Robertson picked up the win with a shutout tenth inning.
Kurt Suzuki and J.J. Furmaniak each hit solo homeruns. Kevin Melillo would have made Billy Beane proud with three walks.
Antonio Perez hit a solo homerun in the tenth inning to push the River Cats to a 6-5 win over Portland. He finished the game with two hits, two runs and two RBIs. Kevin Melilo (two hits and three walks) and Daric Barton (three hits and two walks) each reached base five times.
Dallas Braden threw a very nice game that the pen subsequently tried to blow. He gave up just three hits and a walk with seven strikeouts in six shutout innings. Marcus McBeth gave up the tying run in the bottom of the ninth but he shutout Portland in the tenth and he picked up the win.
Shane Komine took it on the chin in the River Cats 6-5 loss. He fell to 1-2 and he gave up five runs on six hits and three walks with two strikeouts in five innings of work.
Daric Barton drove in two runs in the loss. Kevin Melilo tripled, walked and scored twice.
Brad Halsey struck out eight in 5 2/3 shutout innings in the River Cats 6-2 win. He gave up just four hits and two walks.
Kevin Melillo went three for three with a double, an RBI and three runs. Jeremy Brown hit a two run homerun to help out as well.
One run on five hits won’t normally cut it and the River Cats dropped their series opener to Portland in a 5-1 loss. The lone run was an RBI double by Kevin Melilo that scored Donnie Murphy.
Kevin Olsen had a mediocre start and he took the loss. He gave up five runs (four earned) on seven hits and a walk with three strikeouts in seven innings.
The River Cats came back from two down to take a three run lead only to see that get blown in the ninth. Fortunately, Kevin Melillo drew a walk off RBI bases loaded walk to end the game before it went into extra frames.

The pitching wasn’t as good. Jason Windsor gave up four runs on seven hits and two walks with four strikeouts. Erasmo Ramirez picked up the win by getting the final two Tacoma batters out and Conner Robertson gave up the three runs in the ninth.
