Michael Madsen dropped to 3-1 on the season with a tough start in the Rockhounds 4-3 loss to Tulsa. He gave up four runs on seven hits and one walk with five strikeouts in 4 1/3 innings.
The Rockhounds got most of the offense on one swing of the bat. Luke Appert his a two run homer in the seventh inning to make the game close.
The Ports got plenty of their offense in a 9-6 win over San Jose. Javier Herrera led the way though and he went three for five with a double, a homerun, two RBIs and two runs. Luke Appert went three for three with a double, a run and an RBI.
Vincent Mazzaro didn’t have his best stuff but he improved to 5-4 with all of the offense. He gave up five runs on eight hits and five walks with five strikeouts in five innings.
Bradley Davis had a tough start and he dropped to 2-2 on the season. He gave up four run on six hits with five strikeouts in five innings of work.
Luke Appert was the hitting star in the loss. He doubled and he drove in two runs in the 7-4 loss.
While Stockton picked up seven hits, they couldn’t push anyone across the plate in a 5-0 loss to Inland Empire. Luke Appert was the hitting star in the loss. He went two for three with a walk.
Trent Peterson took the loss despite pitching to just one batter. He allowed a hit and then that baserunner came around to score on Derek Tharpe.
Ryan Webb picked up his third win of the season with a nice outing over High Desert. He gave up just two runs on four hits and two walks with three strikeouts in 7 2/3 innings.
Justin Sellers had a nice day at the plate. He went four for five with two doubles and a run. Luke Appert also helped out the cause with a two run homer in the 7-3 win.
Luke Appert hit a big three run homer that ended up being the difference in the Ports 5-4 win over Inland Empire. Jose Pineda also hit one over the fence and his homer was a solo shot.

The Ports beat Bakersfield 7-2 and Luke Appert had a team high four hits in the game. He drove in a run and scored while Cliff Pennington and Chad Boyd each drove in two runs.
Ben Jukich had a good enough start but because most of the Ports runs came later in the game, he didn’t get a decision. He gave up just one unearned run on three hits with four strikeouts in five innings. Steven Bondurant picked up the win with two shutout relief innings.
Michael Madsen picked up his first win of the season in the Ports 7-1 win over Bakersfield. He gave up just two hits and three walks with five strikeouts in seven shutout innings.
Most of the Ports offense came in the ninth when they scored six runs. Steve Kleen singled twice, drove in three and scored a run while Luke Appert had two hits and two runs.
The Ports won 9-1 and Luke Appert led the way with a huge game. He went four for four with a homerun, two RBIs and two runs. Nicholas Blasi also hit the ball well. He went two for four with a homerun, two runs and two RBIs.
Luis Ramirez picked up the win with five shutout innings. He gave up three hits and three walks and he struck out six.
Ben Jukich took the loss for the Ports in their loss to Visalia. He gave up five runs on ten hits with four strikeouts in five innings. Reliever Brad Sullivan was also hit hard and he gave up four runs in just 1/3 of an inning.
Luke Appert hit a two run homerun to lead the Ports in the 9-6 loss. Cliff Pennington hit a solo homerun.
