Michael Madsen Hit Hard In Rockhounds Loss

Michael Madsen dropped to 3-1 on the season with a tough start in the Rockhounds 4-3 loss to Tulsa.  He gave up four runs on seven hits and one walk with five strikeouts in 4 1/3 innings.

The Rockhounds got most of the offense on one swing of the bat.  Luke Appert his a two run homer in the seventh inning to make the game close.

Ryan Webb Is Hit Hard In Rockhounds Loss

Ryan Webb dropped to 0-3 on the season with a tough start against Tulsa in the Rockhounds 5-3 loss.  He gave up four runs on three hits and four walks with four strikeouts in six innings.

Myron Leslie went three for three and he drew a walk.  Richie Robnett hit a two run homer.

Rockhounds Win Fourth Straight Game

Vasili Spanos had three hits and he drove in three runs in the Rockhounds 7-5 win over Tulsa.  Brant Colamarino also had a nice day at the plate and he went three for five with two doubles, two RBIs and two runs.

Benjamin Fritz picked up the win and he improved to 5-1 on the season. He gave up three runs on seven hits and one walk with four strikeouts in six innings of work.

Landon Powell Drives In Five In Rockhounds Win

Landon Powell had a huge day at the plate in the Rockhounds 9-5 win over Wichita.  He went two for four with a double, a homerun, five RBIs and two runs.  Gregorio Petit went two for five with two doubles, a run and an RBI.

Luis Ramirez improved to 2-2 with the win.  He gave up two runs on five hits and a walk with four strikeouts in seven solid innings.

Andy Shipman Pitches Rockhounds to Win Over Wichita

The Rockhounds beat Wichita 6-1 and a big part of the win was some solid pitching by Andy Shipman.  He gave up one run on six hits and a walk with three strikeouts in 6 2/3 innings.

Jeffrey Baisley went two for three with two runs scored.  Brian Snyder doubled twice and he scored a run.

Rockhounds Edge Wichita 3-2

Casey Myers hit a walk off solo homerun in the bottom of the tenth inning to push the Rockhounds to a 3-2 win over Wichita.  Landon Powell doubled and scored a run and in all, the Rockhounds were outhit 9-3 yet still won the game.

Steven Sharpe picked up the with two innings of shutout relief.  He gave up just one hit and the win improves his record to 2-0 on the season.

Ryan Webb Hit Hard in Rockhounds Loss

Ryan Webb dropped to 0-2 on the season in the Rockhounds 5-4 loss to Tulsa.  He gave up five runs on ten hits and a walk with four strikeouts in seven innings.

Casey Myers was the hitting star in the loss.  He singled three times and he drove in all four runs.

Luis Ramirez Hit Hard In Loss to Tulsa

Luis Ramirez was hit hard in the Rockhounds’ 5-3 loss to Tulsa.  He gave up five runs on six hits and a walk with seven strikeouts in 5 2/3 innings.

Gregorio Petit was the hitting star in the loss.  He went two for three with a double, a run and an RBI.

Rockhounds Blown Out By Corpus Christi

Andy Shipman gave up five runs (three earned) on seven hits and a walk with five strikeouts in six innings of work in the Rockhounds 7-1 loss.  The loss drops Shipman’s record to 2-2 on the season.

Casey Myers was the hitting star in the loss. He went two for three and he drew a walk.

Vasili Spanos Drive In Three Runs In Rockhounds Win

Vasil Spanos had a nice day at the plate in the Rockhounds 8-3 win over Corpus Christi.  He went three for four with a double, three RBIs and two runs.  Richie Robnett also had a nice game and he went two for five with a double and two RBIs.

Michael Madsen improved to 3-0 on the season with a nice start. He gave up two runs on five hits and two walks with eight strikeouts in six innings of work.

Rock Hounds Blown Out by Corpus Christi

Ryan Webb had a tough start in the Rock Hounds 7-1 loss to Corpus Christi.  He gave up five runs on seven hits and a walk with two strikeouts in 4 1/3 innings.

Gregorio Petit drove in the only run of the game.  He hit a solo homerun in the first inning of the loss.

Rockhounds Doubled Up By Frisco

The Rockhounds lost 8-4 and Andy Shipman took the loss in a rough outing.  He gave up five runs on seven hits and four walks with two strikeouts in 2 2/3 innings.  The loss was his first of the season.

Gregorio Petit was the hitting star in the loss.  He went three for three with a homerun and two RBIs.

Michael Madsen Strikes Out Ten in Rockhounds Win

Michael Madsen was awesome on the mound in the Rockhounds 1-0 win over Frisco.  He gave up just two hits and three walks and he struck out a season high ten batters in six shutout innings.  The win pushes his record to 2-0 on the season.

The lone run was driven in by Richie Robnett on a sac. fly.  Gregorio Petit went three for three and Brian Snyder went two for four and he scored the lone run of the game.

Seven Run Seventh Inning Pushes Rockhounds To Win Over Frisco

The Rockhounds scored most of their runs in the seventh inning when they scored seven to top Frisco 9-8.  Brian Snyder was the hitting star and he went two for four with two doubles, two RBIs and two runs. 

Kazuhito Tadano was hit hard in his start but the hitters picked him up.  He did strikeout out eight in six innings but he also gave up six runs.
